Since when is it an "upgrade" to go to a subscription model where I pay after 3 years? Unacceptable!

It says it needs an Update but doesnt update, all the other apps are updating but not this one, What gives??

You will be hounded until the end of time to upgrade. And they dont care. Not even a little bit. Avoid this company like the plague. Lifetime means lifetime. Not for a bit and the. Become a pain in my butt. Apple should drop this company.

So the new app is free for three years? And then how much is the subscription after that. A few more details would be useful.

Please change it according to our agreement which was an unlimited time updates.

This new one has no instructions to look for an address is difficult as well dont like it at all will keep the old one instead

Tomtom so far is the best offline gps app I use and I recommend my friends to use. I bought it long time ago. I hate subscription model while tomtom at that time offered a pay-once-use-lifetime app. Now it is removing this app and also going to have monthly fee. Disappointed. No excuse, no more words like you can try the new app for 3 year free. You just are greedy. shame on you. Tomtom, your decision decreases your brand value.

I can say that after a few days of using this app since I received 3 years free I can tell you one thing that I will not use TOMTOMGO very much the selection for the voices are very few to pick from I can not use same voice that I have for my tomtom U.S.A. App I would like see the voice Loire appear it is far the most clearest voice .

The app will "encourage" me to upgrade to the subscription based version every time I open it. Is infuriating paying for an application and then the developer decides to use the next update of your paid app as an advertising venue. TomTom days are counted if they continue this route.

I dont want the upgrade I paid enough for the app. What I want is the ability to turn off the prompt to upgrade every time I open the app!

The app and business model were good. I paid $100 up front years ago plus $12.99/yr live traffic. I could live with that and hoped the vendor could too. Now I figure at some point theyll take away the subscription to live traffic turning this app into a fossil. They got rid of the yearly subscription a couple of months ago, forcing us to go month to month. I read on the internet taking the bait and installing the new GO app, immediately disables live traffic on this.

TomTom was *one* app that I was anxiously awaiting to be released years and years ago. It was expensive, but did a great job. Now I get a prompt to change to a new app, to pay them monthly fees after a trial period. No. Just no. I will use Apple Maps or google maps or ANYTHING else if my current app gets more intrusive with its advertising. I will never give TomTom another dollar. Think about how things will affect customers before you do them.

Ive used this app for over 5 years now and it is terrific. The new TomTom Go app is absolute trash. Terrible, nonsensical user interface and takes up 6 Gb instead of 1.2 Gb like this one does. Also, youll have to keep paying year after year on the new one, this one is a one time payment and absolutely worth the money.

I was in a low cell signal and the app kept crashing over and over again. I would try to change the volume and that would cause it to crash also. Been using it for years and this had never happened until this new version with the latest iOS. Not happy. I need reliability when I am driving someplace I have never been before.

TomTom U.S.A. should have just been tweaked and rebranded “Go” if they wanted a more trendy, universal name for the app. The new version is a cumbersome mess, starting with bloated, childish icons and a crowded interface. The clear, elegant traffic indicator of this older version has been replaced by one much smaller and crammed with gas station icons that cover the traffic info. I couldn’t find a way to eliminate the stations, so it seems to be a default setting, where it’s obvious it should be an option setting for rural or unfamiliar places. Driving in a city makes for a cluster of stupidly large gas station icons covering the problem traffic areas. I’ll be happy to be proven wrong if there is a setting to cut the stations, but this is only one of the annoying problems of the new TomTom Go unpleasantness.

Why pay to use this app when Google Waze is free and does a good job.

I paid $90 for this app and was promised free updates. Screw tomtom go. Its not what I bought its not what I was promised.

I paid money for this application as well as the European application and I already regret downloading the replacement to both. Tom Tom Go is absolute garbage. Looks like WAZE will be what I rely on.

Ill take a refund and you can have your app back. Please credit me in the App Store and take your app back for breaking the agreement we had when I purchased your app.

This Tomtom is great. The mobile go app looks like a $1.99 and works like one as well. It is junk!!!
